Rusty DeWees' self-written & self-produced One Man Comedy
Show “The Logger” has played to sold out houses throughout New England for 15
years – Rusty self-published and distributes his logger products including 3
Logger DVDs, 3 Logger CDs, Logger wall calendars, Logger apparel and now books,
“Scrawlins” a collection of 94 short stories, was a best seller in Vermont and
Rusty just finished “Scrawlins Too” a collection of 85 short stories that is
available in stores and online..
Rusty DeWees alter ego, The Logger, is a raw,
energetic backwoodsman that is a combination of all that’s wonderful and wacky
about the northern New England spirit. The Logger might lack schooling, but he
has the wisdom of the hills in his blood and more than his fair share of wit.
Some might say Rusty’s comedy is a mix of Larry the Cable Guy and Prairie Home
Companion, in that part of his routine is tailored as stand-up, while another
part, though very funny, can be seen as more storytelling, albeit short
stories.
The Logger stage show is a hilarious combination of
stand-up, and theatre show that also incorporates plenty of tight pin-point
funny ad libs, and recently a great set of country kickin’ music with Rusty on
guitar and singin'.
The Boston Globe says, The Logger is, “Inventive, entertaining,
exceptional”
Much of DeWees’ time is
spent connecting with Vermonters both young and old while donating time to more
than 40 human service organizations a year including Ronald MacDonald House,
Vermont Children’s Hospital, and Meals on Wheels. As one of Vermont’s most
sought after speakers, DeWees gives shows and lectures to High School students
and businesses on the rewards of substance free living, a lifestyle he follows,
but definitely does not extend to his on stage character The Logger. He also
plays benefit shows for community organizations, and plays his guitar and sings
regularly at an area Nursing Home.
Rusty owns Rusty D.

campaigns for Vermont businesses that include Power Shift Online Services, an
